Quest of Dungeons

Quest of Dungeons is a throwback to the days of other dungeon rompers, including some innovative elements like storekeepers, magic spell & ability point management, and mini-goals to achieve. It reminds me of a phone game I have (different developer, but both games licensed the same dungeon pixel art character and item set, LOL). It doesn't set a new standard, but it's a fun 2D affair with some nice modern elements like gradient shading of the dungeons, a good controller interface, and exciting soundtrack The final bosses can seem mighty unfair, and it's always a bummer to sink 20-30 minutes into a game only to get a cheap death, or find oneself unable to find potions to quaff... but that's the culture of dungeon romping rogue-likes, and one has to learn to DEAL with it in this genre. It's a bit by-the-numbers, but sometimes that's okay. It's old-school comfort food with some modern interface upgrades; sometimes, that just hits the spot!

FINALLY... with the term 'rogue-like' being thrown around by people who have no clue what 'rogue' even is, here is your school lesson. This is THE closest you will ever get without loading up an MS-DOS emulator. It is a bit gentler than the original Rogue computer game, but that's ok.. I am ever so grateful to the developers of this masterpiece! Fine work. You've taken me back to the days when these games were pure, and the exclusive domain of late night computer labs! 😎

To the developer. What a fantastic old school game. Thank you so much for sharing this gem. In my opinion this is worth the full price. I do not have buyers remorse or feel like i was gouged.

Very fun and cool game. Really like the diffrent enemies and characters. Really cool spells and wepons over all 10/10

This game is very entertaining. You have randomized floors, the pace of the game is nice, and it is unforgiving. You try to push to far to quick, you die lol. I recommend it for your late night time killers. It has a good replay value as well. And for the price you cannot beat it for the amount of hours you can play. Well done in my opinion.
