S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chornobyl - Enhanced Edition

Very good port. Remember to TURN OFF AIM ASSIST. My shooting became much more accurate with it off. Carefull, enemies will zip you up with full auto so move between cover. Safe often, then save again. Frag rooms, if something screams or growls, throw another Frag Grenade. Use enemies and allies against each other. It's evil, but a good way to get better guns early on in the starting area. I trolled the military people at the checkpoint at the gate into attacking the merchants stalkers in the village. Also fun to let mutant animals chase you into either Neutrual, Friendly and sometimes Hostile encampments. Let the Hilarity ensue!! If factions are fighting each other, just watch and do clean up afterward unless it's part of a mission/goal to help. "Let them fight" Carefull not to get greedy and carry too much. You may need to run! -some will complain about the graphics. This game is a port of an old game. -some people buy games without reading about them. Strange behavio

Amazing port! Very excited for mod support. Hopefully controller customization is added also in the future.

The recently released "Enhanced Editions" replace the originals that I paid for. These are censored versions that use AI. Not cool, GSC Game World.

Audio bugs are crazy frequent. Crows, guns, and the like. You'll read about them in other reviews. I'm here to put the Hit registration complaints to bed. Your guns do not always shoot straight. Not a bug, its a feature. The guns in the zone have been through hell. Whether they are dirty, sights haven't been zeroed, or whatever. Crouching helps a little, adds stability. The most accurate guns are the long range ones. You cannot turn a mid into a long. You will waste ammo and condition. Repairing was cut from base game before release. This is not a run and gun COD game. The Zone is hostile and unforgiving. If you don't treat it as such, you will have an awful time. Play slow, watch your step, check your corners, do not let yourself get shot, and 90% percent of enemies (including most mutants) will go down with one headshot if wearing no helmet, or even with one if shot with Armor Piercing ammo. But remember always, these guns have not been properly maintained, and they act like it.

Absolutely a dream playing this on xbox. Cant wait for future updates! Mod support coming. Crows are loud so beware, they dont follow you in some areas like Rostok
