Samurai Aces III: Sengoku Cannon

Pure excellence

If you've played Samurai Aces and/or it's sequel, Tengai stay far, far away from this lackluster, game. The 1st 2 games in the series are far superior. It seems they focused so much on the polygonal backgrounds that everything else in the game suffered, from uninspired enemy design to just being plain bland all around. Better old school shmups available here are Gunbird 1 and 2, the aforementioned Samurai Aces and Tengai and the Strikers series.
