Shadow Complex Remastered

If you loved the old school Metroid games, you should definitely give this game a shot. Tight controls, lots of collectible upgrades, and a ton of replay value to grab some of the new achievements. Speed runners would probably enjoy this game quite a lot.

Funnest 6 hour or so Metroidvania like campaign I've played.

Amazing Remaster. Definitely at the top of my greatest hits.

It's like Super Metroid in HD, which means you should play it. 🙂

This is the closest thing to Metroid that isn't Metroid, as far as gameplay goes; you have your familiar map, and various implements of death that usually involve some step retracing to access other collectibles to aid you. There's enough of a difference though to also give it a subtly fresh approach; brief melee action cams are satisfying and vary depending upon positions of all involved, and a levelling system that grants you various slight buffs. I really have a hard time finding anything that I feel should change about Shadow Complex. Graphics are not insane and sound is all-around decent. Just good fun!
