Shantae: Half-Genie Hero

Normally games take a turn for the worst when they are trying to release more than one game, especially when they try to recycle characters into an hd realm. This game is an exception, Shantae has become easily one of my most favorite playable characters across any game! The platforming is crisp and precise offering a very wide variety in what you can do in each stage. Different power ups throughout the game make replaying levels not tedius but, exciting. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys 2D platformers that can be quite challenging at times as well as anyone who wants a breath of fresh air when it comes to gaming. Many games take theirselves too seriously, this one does not, it is filled with humor and absolutely loveable characters. I'd also suggest looking into the prequel to this, shantae and the pirates curse as many characters appear again in this game. Have fun! The ratings won't lie, this is AMAZING.

This game improves on previous installments in the series by adding a completly new system of platforming. At its roots its a 2d action platform that delivers in combat, exploration, and chracter progression. Story is solid with great characters and graphics. Fun game to get 100% in as exploring is addicting. A great game at a fair price.

great game i just wish there be more game like this... i had fun playing the game a lot and oh ya awesome music...😆🙂❤🎮

Another entry in the Shantae series that excels in every way. Tight controls, slick gameplay, tons of secrets to discover, and plenty of replay value, this game gives you your 20 bucks and more. Props to WayForward for developing another gem of a game.

Firstly I'm not a fan of platformers at all nor have I been good at any I did try. But this game has such a strange, alluring charm to it for anyone like myself. Fantastic and colorful art design, great sense of humor, absolutely amazing music (seriously this is coming from someone who almost always just listens to metal and yet this light-hearted piece of amazingness catches you without question), likeable characters, easy to learn controls, and a fair but challenging experience. If you ever wanted something of a platformer to try this is your game to get. Though you might wanna look for a physical copy for that sweet, sweet ost.
