Shockman Collection Vol. 2

Nice to see more localized ports of PC Engine Titles that never left Japan. As far as action platformers go, Cyber Shockman 3 is fairly generic. Semi basic gameplay, but some good enemy visuals. Relatively short, especially if you use cheats/rewind feature. Love seeing game manual uploads and cover art as well 🙂 For $6 its still an easy recommendation if you care about game preservation and want to support more localized ports of retro titles. Solid port of a Super Famicom title previously unreleased outside of Japan. I found this entry to be the most enjoyable. Decent visuals although some enemy design may be better in previous entries. Interesting to see that this final entry has a slight genre shift to a more Beat'em up/brawler style. Pretty good soundtrack. This port also offers save states and rewind features although you most likely will not need them, fairly easy game overall. Easy Achievements. *Product Received for Free*

Only 7 levels, super easy with cheats enabled, especially 1 hit kill cheat. I wish it was a tad longer, but guess you get what you pay for. 4/5✨

Controls are pretty responsive. Simplistic platform brawling. Environments are fairly bland. NES games frequently featured more detail than this. Game is mechanically fun, but isn't much to look at.
