SIGNALIS

The look of the past with the smoothness of the present. The game is inspired by the OG Resident Evils and follows that formula. Despite its retro style it still looks visually impressive and has a good foreboding atmosphere. This game is slow paced with a lot of reading and puzzle solving so if that's not your cup of tea steer clear.

Sci-fi cassette punk horror with influence from Silent Hill and Resident Evil. Seriously impressive art direction with great animations and intense gameplay. Highly recommend. One of the most impressive horror games I've tried.

But I feel it'd be criminal NOT to leave a review. This game is an experience, to put it lightly. A game that truly PROVES that video games are a legitimate form of art. From the themes to the music, Sound design to the gameplay- it is all masterfully executed. It is BAFFLING to me how few people worked on this game, considering the quality. Truly a passion project, and it shows. The story is brilliant (if a bit confusing your first run) the game dripfeeds you enough lore to keep you hooked yet curious, and the ENDINGS??? I won't spoil anything- but this game practically BEGS you to play through it again upon completion. Absolutely a 10/10 cannot recommend enough. Thank you dev's for this amazing experience ❤️

When I first heard about the game I was intrigued, but wasn't sure about the top down camera. Honestly it woks and quite well. Overall the game is like a Resisilentgearsolid lol. Adventure game elements are fairly heavy in this requiring more thought for examining items and solving puzzles. The story is told differently and has some neat trippy touches, and while the music is sparse its good and the atmosphere is great. A game has to really appeal to me for me to want to read all the notes and files but the devs nailed it. I like the nods to Lovecraft as well. I have so many new games I own and want to play but this one keeps me glued. This will be end of the year list material for me. Oh yeah the effects are great, I love the first person interactive bits, its like old RE but taken to the next level and more frequent. If classic survival horror is your bag, though I don't think its scary, and you like to figure things out yourself then I recommend it. Excellent addition to Gamepass!

Do you like Resident Evil? Do you like Silent Hill? Do you like PS1/PS2 style visuals? Do you like Anime women? Do you like to be sad? If so, you're going to love this game.
