Tamarin

It's a decent game, but it's very basic for a console game. It feels more like a $2-$5 mobile game that was hastily ported to console for a few more bucks. The issues I've noticed are primarily with the aiming that is quite awkward and often frustrating. Also it could really benefit from some type of a map system, and the camera can be very annoying once in a while.

If youre looking for a solid spiritual successor to Jet Force Gemini, this aint it. Camera and aiming is sluggish, combined with terrible aim-centering that cant be disabled. When pistol is acquired, you lose mobility with no option to holster. Options can only accessed on the main menu for some nonsense reason. Finally, main character has no personality. Its no Banjo, no Juno, just a monkey with a gun.

Aiming and camera controls are terrible. The timed coin challenge in the mountain level is horrendous. This should have had a map; that alone would've made the game a little better. It's worth $3 - $7 on sale but definitely not full price

Wish you had a map A Boss Battle at the end of each world would be awesome Overall 5 out of 5 stars

Tamarin is a prime example that marketing means everything! Simply outstanding this new IP is why people love 3D platformers! The music/soundtrack is top tier (Great original music) Visually it's gorgeous (hopefully it's given. a next Gen. Upgrade being in 4k,HDR, or Ray tracing would kick the game up a notch! The story itself has very subtle environmental message behind it (That i think is a great thing) This a more grown up version of Conker's Bad Fur Day a real deal HQ 3D platformer (the only 2 real negative is the gun mechanics this feels very dated and can get more annoying then anything, No map (the world is a good size you'll get turned around fairly easy! Besides that support this new IP its very special and deserves a mainstream audience 👍
