The Bard's Tale IV: Director's Cut

Probably the most well done game in this genre. Being able to free move is amazing

First of all, I finished the game before the latest patch which addresses most of the issues that troubled me. Pros: • Story and quests are enjoyable. • Combat system, item variety and characters class/customization gives you a lot of playing possibilities. • Music is great. Cons: • Lots of bugs (before recent patch). • Not the highest audiovisual production. • Won't let you revisit previous quests/locations at certain point and after finishing the (I wanted a little more of Skara Brea but it was over). This developer has lots of potential. Can't wait to see what are they capable to do with MS backing.

Great old school look and feel but it keeps up with the heavy hitting rpg's out there. You will die but its all a part of the learning curve. It doesn't hold your hand soo you have to figure things out on your own which is all part of the experience.

Really solid game i dont review games. This deserves way higher ratong thenit has . I played old bards tail and this has that feel but brings it to the modern age of gamming. Well don DEVS!!!!

My first Bard's Tale game played on the Series X.. Really liked the story,music and the turn based combat..The graphics were better than expected too. I'm an older slower exploration style gamer and spent over 150 hrs..I swear I spent like 50 or more hrs trying to figure out or find any info on many of the game's various styles of puzzles..(needed to complete most quests).Aggravating at times..The Pixie puzzles were fun though.Completed all quests including dlc except the 99 waves quest near end game which always crashed by wave 40 forcing me to start over..after 12 tries I gave up..Following main quests before side quests is advisable.(most enemies don't respawn).Level 25-27 about max..Overall a fun game with a unique charm and atmosphere..
