The MISSING: J.J. Macfield and the Island of Memories

Puzzles feel fair, gore is pretty much on par with Limbo and doesn't seem gratuitous, even though I'm normally sensitive to that kind of thing. There are a few housekeeping bugs (I have to play in offline mode for some reason) but nothing so far that impedes game progress. Based on collectibles I guess I'm about 2/3 done and already feel like I've gotten my money's worth. If you're a Swery fan already why are you even reading? If you're not, this is a great place to start. Grotesque, funny, strange, and above all, kind-hearted.

Solid story, good voice acting, moderately simple puzzles, and easy to learn controls. Its a surprisingly fun/cute game. I'd recommend it.

This game has probably one of the best story's I have seen in the past five years. It has amazing easy going puzzles that make you think outside the box, truly a magnificent game.

Beautiful and powerful story with interesting game mechanics. SWERY does it again.

As is standard with a Swery game, the writing is the main thing that makes this game amazing. I have not felt more emotional while playing a game since I played Silent Hill 2. The gameplay is very solid and "enjoyable", working alongside the writing, instead of being an obstacle to the writing. The gameplay is based on destroying yourself on purpose, with your interactions being effected by injuries. I never got comfortable with that, the crunches and screams kept it becoming comical. This is a fantastic game that focuses on a struggle with identity and the suffering that come with both being who you are and not being who you are.
