The Surge

If your looking for something new and stunning this is the right game. It may be only 6 gb but the game is still long and very explorable. Just be warned that the game is very challenging and can be frustrating. Even with as cool and exotic weapons and armor like destiny it wont make you a bad a**. You have to play this game very carefully and tactically. Time your strikes and when to counter enemies weaknesses or what can make them vulnerable. Try luring them out 1v1. This game is like dark souls. Level up until your bored to proceed to new areas. Dont try to get your hopes up before you actually kill that doomed enemy. Low health enemies will screw you over. Find all ability hardware or injectables. They will save you. This game is not like assasins creed where you freebee any level enemy. If you have not unlocked or found shortcut doors back to base i suggest running past enemies carefully, especially if you have 5k+ scrap. Watch your stamina levels for this and combat!! Enjoy👍❤❤

The combat of the game is phenomenal and same goes for the level design. The crafting/dismemberment system is also a gem. The only poor thing one could say about The Surge, is that the story is not it's strongpoint. If a gamer is looking for an amazing ARPG with a unique gameplay feeling; The Surge is an excellent choice.

The game is excellent. fun,fast, and exciting. there's a slight learning curve, but once you pass it, youll be golden. *hint get the spectre in the basement of the first level. carried me through the whole game my first run through

I waited a long time for this game to go on sale. I wish I didn't. Starts off pretty fun and gets better and better on several levels as you persist through the complex level design that delivers a true meaning of "PvE". The combat system delivers. Character progression delivers. Even the story which is delivered subtly as you progress is enticing and detailed while remaining in the background. Highly recommend or anyone interested in a challenge. NG+ is also more engaging than most iterations from previous games.

Deck13 did a goold job with a first-attempt at a dark souls clone with Lords of The Fallen, even with its issues. They learned from that and made The Surge into an excellent game that is worthy of praise. Not 100% the level of Dark Souls challenge, but that is irrelevent with how freaking fun it is. Worthy buy for anyone interested. Tons of executions, weapon and combat variety, and a solidly well ballanced mechanic system. It's actually more similar to Bloodborne in combat style; aggresive, jump in and out, and at least personally - blocking is useless. I forget it's even an option. Invincibility exists during execution animations, and keeping track of stamina usage is key to survival. Energy builds are the way to go as well. Implant slots get expanded twice when fiding new rigs. The combat system is balanced very well. Tougher "normal enemies" with only a few bosses. PS - I hope you dont mind country 😆😆
