Through the Woods

I bought this game 5 years ago and recommend it to everyone looking for a good narrative, or wanting to explore different takes on mythology and folk tales. This game started me on my journey of reading/writing in Elder Futhark. The dev I spoke with about the translations was very kind and encouraging. Even helped me confirm my Futhark tattoo spelling!

once u get halfway through chapter 2 starts to get good . when u hear screeching not moaning screeching run and run fast

One of the best games of its kind i love it i have no idea what the cry babies are talking about stop playing games if you dont appreciate nothing

A mother and son go to a secluded cabin to spend time together and get work done. All is good in this Norse mythology horror game until the son is taken. As his mom, you must give chase and find out why he was taken. As you journey, you'll come across several creatures that go bump in the night, while piecing together the story through narration and the collectibles throughtout the game. The creatures were done well and each presented their own unique way to get past them. Seeing as how you are only equipped with a flashlight once the sun goes down. I wouldn't say this is a horror game trying to scare you every which way but more of a creepy thriller. It isn't a long game which is great if you're looking for a shorter, enjoyable experience. Only negative I found was sometimes the game would freeze a short bit and then jump when things happened. I found that quitting to menu and continuing the checkpoint fixed it. Other than that, if you enjoy a bit of Norse mythology, give it a shot.

I love this game if you have work and want to play a quick game then buy it. I know its supposed to be a horror game but its more than that if you play it just wait till the end
