Tiny Pixels Vol. 1 - Ninpo Blast

Frentic fast paced shooting gets challenging. Those high scores are nuts 👀. Good music. Gives me hope of a brighter future. ✌️

Another arcade style SHMUP, similiar to others released by Eastasiasoft, such as Void Gore. An endless wave based format, survive as long as you can against an onslaught of bugs. A handful of permanent upgrades to unlock. Much like the others its not a very difficult SHMUP if you are just trying to kill each boss once or go for all the achievements, better suited to those new to the genre or looking for a more casual SHMUP. Still fun, especially for the low price tag.

I'd say this game is a 2.5/5 at best. I don't get the high ratings for this game and i enjoy the genre. I want to say most of the other east asia shooters are far better and more fun. The main problems are when you start it's an unsatisfying grind to upgrade anything. Also, for example maxing out the power of my shuriken weapon didn't feel much more powerful than level 2. The enemies and bosses are baisc and it feels too faimlar to be procedurally random. I suggest buying on sale if your a genre fan , but be warned it's a slow repetitious grind. Also , when you can barely see or feel the difference of the upgrades the loop doesn't feel rewarding.
