APICO
Whitethorn Games, Inc. · Family & kids · Role playing · Simulation
APICO is a laid-back beekeeping sim game about breeding, collecting, & conserving bees!
Set in a series of lush environments, APICO uniquely combines resource gathering, biology, and beekeeping minigames, taking ideas from a mix of real-life and fantasy apiculture.
Laid back game about the most important thing to exist

Great 20$ game!!!
If you're worried about it not having enough content, it does!! If you liked the gameplay in Stardew Valley or Graveyard Keeper then this game is for you.

SO FAR, SO GOOD!
I'm in the tutorial now, great so far, very relaxing and fun. Don't skip the tutorial because you earn useful things for yourself as well as achievements! 😜Will update this to maybe five stars after playing more of the game. My thanks to the devs for this unique and interesting experience!!! 😁👍

Great game with a couple issues
Exploring the whole map makes the game lose a lot of frames in multiplayer, even on Series X.

42/55 achievement review:
I will say this up front: Game's kind of a chore to play.
I sat down and set myself to "beat" the game. Got all the bees, saw the credits, but there's still herbology, solitary bees, and butterflies to collect. I might revisit it one day but the associated time/gs value isn't worth it.
If you are looking for a Forager or Nova Lands style game, this isn't it. Apico is a VERY involved collectathon, with a lot of intentional grinding and tracking involved, and will require your attention to progress. There are some nice accessibility options available I suggest turning on.
I'm giving it four stars as while I didn't fully enjoy the experience nor felt pay-off, there is a lot of love here, a lot to do - ironic "busy bee" work, and pretty solid modularity. Things will start slow, then pick up, then halt to a grind, so be prepared.
You can play ghis casually with up to 3 others, but you'll need to grind to get the most out of it.
For 20 it's not bad...I'd get on sale.
