Baldo the guardian owls

It's a way better game now! This game is like Zelda with some differences obviously, it has very good dungeons, good overworld, nice exploration and few hand holding. I really like the artstyle. One downside i guess is that the story is weak, but it doesn't matter in a game like this.

This game earns a perfect score not for it's UI flaws or rough edges, but because it's perfection lies in the gameplay, charm, and excitement for adventure. The ambience might be easily compared to Zelda, but in reality it is closer to lost games such as Beyond Oasis, Legend of Oasis, or Linkle Liver Story. Knowledgeable people will notice this similarity and the thrill that it is to play these games. In the current industry where shock, cruelty and gore are the driving force for getting attention, Baldo bets on a warm environment, happiness, and a classic tale. My gratitude goes to the developers for creating and updating the game. And my purchase is my vote for more games like this to come out. Vote with your wallet as well for wholesome games.

Just spent my afternoon playing this and completd the first dungeon. Gameplay is smooth and enjoyable with fast loading times. Appears the bugs from before are fixed. So far only minor complaint is the map is not very useful and it is a little hard to navigate through such a big world. Didn't deter me from setting out on a fun, wholesome adventure. Love it and I hope more games are made like this!

It needs some work. Gameplay zoom is too much , map is almost useless. Combat is not smooth. You'll be lost most of the time . For mobile acceptable but not for console .

I have desperately wanted to like this game, but it doesn't allow me to. Loading times are LONG, so be prepared (there's no series x/s version, but putting on internal storage can help). It's pretty, but gameplay is still horribly lacking. Not sure why ppl claim it's 'fixed', but they must be talking about a bug, cuz it plays the same as on launch (u fall off anything & lose HP. The map, mission structure, clues, dialogue, animation, menus, etc feel unfinished. Those things zap the desire to keep playing when there are so many great games available in my backlog, still). If u already bought it, like myself, due to pre-release hype from indie lovers, it may be worth soldiering through. Otherwise, i don't think i'd be satisfied even if i got this on a steep sale. I LOVE Zelda, mind you (my favorite franchise of all time, before & after BotW), but this isn't the love letter others claim. Play Death's Door or Tunic if u need to scratch that itch, as those are well worth full price, IMO.
