BLACKTAIL

Wow!! Want some unique, uber quirky (but sensical) storytelling? Lots of adventure and discovery? The folks that wrote Conker had a "way" of storytelling that was beautifully bizzare, yet worked....you'll find that here (without the smut - yet still an adult title). Reviewers complain about the combat......well...there IS COMBAT...your primary weapon is a bow...so "git gud" with it....it'll take some practice...(Skyrim archers will have ZERO issues here). There's plenty of "on-the-go" crafting, RPG skill-tree upgrading and "core-game-altering" MORALITY choices for many play stiles. Series X and about 20+ hours with absolutely ZERO bugs or glitches (with maybe 25% completion) ...and that's refreshing given the unfinished **** that gets released these days. There's ALOT going on here, from deep gameplay mechanics to non-conventional storytelling, in order to satisfy even the most seasoned gamer.

COMBAT: This game is one of the best games i have played in a LONG time. Their take on combat was superfun (being a bow, movement, a broom stick, and potions) which kept me excited to go into combat (not common for me in other games). EXPLORATION: This game rewards exploration like a kindergarten teacher rewards her students for correctly reciting the alphabet. With candy, an extra reccess and moving their clip to awesome sauce. I never had a dull moment when exploring in this game. I fully explored every area bevause of how much i didnt want to miss anything. Wether tha be perks or secret areas. STORY / CHARACTERS: The story was fairly entriguing. I liked the main character and the side characters. I liked the take on fairy tale-esque characters and never dreaded talking to an individual especially with their eunique take on certain things. The ending was fantastic, im not gonna elaborate further to avoid spoilers. TLDR the story is amazing i loved it and its def worth experiancing.

You have not played anything like this. I would shake the hand of eveyone involved in this. This entire world story character dev voice acting simply AMAZING. Thank You. 1000/10

One caveat: if you're thinking of buying this game for the "S" in FPS, don't. The combat is easily the weakest link in an otherwise flawless title. The graphics, voice acting, story, music, and map are outstanding. The combat, while absolutely necessary, feels tacked on. I get an almost turn-based vibe, though it's not. Think of a Vaporum, but not on a grid, if that makes sense. All in all, it's a great game with surprisingly deep systems at work. I am having a lot of fun. If this game had the combat of, say, Ziggurat 2, it would be one of the greatest games of this generation!

For the current price you get a lot of game! What it may lack in combat it more than makes up for in story.
