Blade of Darkness

Its a great game pretty hard because of controls,I haven't beaten it yet but what i can say is save like a crackhead because there are traps and enemys everywhere if you die and haven't saved since you started that campaign guess what that level 7 knight with a metal shield and enchanted sword just died to a pit fall and now your level 1 and at the beginning, 10/10 im paranoid of everything now

Combat is very weighty, takes a minute to get it down but wow. I cannot believe a 22 year old game with this kind of combat feels this good. Someone at FromSoft absolutely had to have known about this game when building the groundwork for Demon's Souls. Only on the 3rd area, but seeing the average rating at 3 stars is criminal, absolutely has to be jaded mfs that can't appreciate a time-piece like this.

I was looking forward to this game all the way back in the Dreamcast era! This reminds me of Rune with slightly tighter controls. The controls aren't clunky, you're character has momentum and isn't just wafting through the world like wraith. Very satisfying to control. When your character runs it feels like they're actually connecting with the ground and when jump your character propels themself forward. Thank you devs for finally releasing this on an Xbox! More games like this, pretty please! MOAR!!!

Yes the controls are not great, but it's easy enough to go into the options and change them so it feels more like a traditional souls-like. Keep in mind that this is a remaster of a now 22 year old game, so if you're looking for cutting-edge graphics this is probably not for you. If, however, you can get past that and, like me, long for the video games of old there's a lot of fun to be had here.

Fun game. A bit clunky, but those who miss the 00s era of gaming will fall in love.
