Johnny Ostad's Collection Bundle

It's a fun game, but the amount of gold you can have is terrible. If there was no coin purse limit would be alot better, also they should have placed hidden better gear that you could wear instead of just upgradeing gear. Love the old school look and playstyle. If they decide to make another they should make no coin limit, much bigger inventory, more and bigger dungeons, and hidden better equipment and weapons that are not required to beat game. Overall was worth $7.50 price i paid when on sale.

CONS: If grinding is your thing go right ahead. EVERYTHING costs either half or all of your gold if you're maxed out. The item upgrades don't feel significant. Some of the mobs (I'm talking to you giant eyeball ghosts) are weirdly hard compared to other environment mobs. It's very hard to take in your surroundings and try to find 30 some-odd caves with 5 of these shooting balls at your back and another one every two inches. The hit boxes can be off and the puzzles take way too precise of movement for controls that feel cumbersome and off most the time. I feel like I'm moving freely in a world where I should be moving tile by tile. It's too easy to just sliiightly move onto a spike tile while trying to line up your dash when there's no room for error. PROS: Nice little game for the price however. Wouldn't be my first choice to start into these types of games but if you already know you like similar games then this isn't bad. Good if you need something to do while waiting.

This game is like Legend of Zelda for those who like masterpiece retro games. Here is my review so far: Pros: 1. Simple controls that are easy to learn. 2. Teleport stones for fast travel (symbol on lower right map tiles once found). 3. Crafting is easy with Recipes that can let you craft more goodies. 4. Fun as well as challenging puzzles. 5. Interesting storyline. 6. Variety of NPCs with some appearing only at Day or Night. 7. Save points are beds you sleep in to choose Day or Night to wake up. 8. Upgrades for equipment. Cons: 1. Grinding to unlock all upgrades can be tedious. 2. Dying resets all progress to the last time you saved sleeping in a bed. 3. Heroic difficulty locked until game is finished on Normal (I only say this because I like playing games on the hardest difficulties and if I wanted "Tutorial" games I would be on PS4). Overall Rating: 5/5

Holy crap I cannot emphasize enough how much of a god awful grind this game is. You will spend the majority of your play time breaking barrels for materials or fishing for gold. Seriously. The game would be a fairly enjoyable 2 or 3 hours of adventure, except it's 10 hours of grinding. There's a hard mode that you have to unlock to play. Which is even more mind-numbing grinding because there's achievements tied to it. Skip this game if you value your time.

Wasted potential. This game was like a poor man's Zelda clone. Too short, too easy, and inflated game length because of the money grinding you have to do for overpriced items. 4 more dungeons, lower prices on items, and tougher bosses (they are all basically the same boss with only slight differences) would have made this game 5 stars easily. Try again programmers, you are on the right track. Don't hold back next time.
