Lament of the Yuppie

I've only JUST downloaded this with GWG and, honestly, I am enthralled. Definitely has Silent Hill vibes but it's more than that, harkening to much older, and no less amazing, games for NES like SHADOWGATE and UNINVITED. The art is charming and the MUSIC....! Hauntingly beautiful. The story is captivating and enthralling. The nostalgia factor is there, it feels like a love letter to Victorian and Classical horror. I CANNOT emphasize HOW MUCH I adore this game and want MORE like it. From one deep lover of all things "It was a dark and stormy night...", I CANNOT genuinely recommend this game enough.

I don't get why one review called this a walking sim? You're an average person going against the paranormal. I think it gives an amazing experience for the price tag. Games triple the price usually are broken, and I have never encountered anything game breaking.

This game oozes charm out of every pixel. Its only major hangup for me would be its brevity. A wonderful world and characters plus its inspired art design make this a definite 5 stars. It definitely deserves more attention. P.S I have OneyPlays to thank for showing me this game (Id totally buy a voice pack with cory/spazkid as brians VA)

I love how atmospheric and darkly enchanting this game is. It's pretty much a survival horror puzzle game exactly like Resident Evil 1 but with Lovecraftian horror and a 16th century setting. There's also strong inspiration from Bram Stoker's Dracula.

This was an amazing game, reminded me of silent hill mixed with resident evil if it was made during the snes era of gaming.
