MiceGard
Desert Water Games · Action & adventure · Fighting · Strategy
MiceGard is an adventure game where viking mice fight for honor, fame and survival. Explore the world inspired by Norse mythology, meet with gods and warlocks and seize the glory of the fiercest mouse-warrior in this action-packed saga!
The game is simple, but fun. It mostly consists of knowing when to swap formations. The story is more serious than it's whimsical graphics and setting would lead you to believe. The game hangs out long enough to be enjoyed, but not become tedious. If you wanna kill 2 to 3 hours this is a great way to do that. For achievement hunters, its an easy 2,000 gamerscore

Pretty alright
It was a fun game, but it was way too short and a little too easy. I wish there was a hard mode after you beat the game where your arrow supply was limited or something like that where you'll have to be more mindful with how you approach things besides "Use arrows to kill slingshots" and "use shields to kill swords".

A fair, quick, easy achievement booster
MiceGard provides a 3k gamerscore boost for simply playing through the game once. It takes at most 2 hours to complete if you don't skip dialogue. You can replay missions for alternative dialogue choices if it's offered. There's a setting called "story mode" which makes you invincible - note this does not make the ladybug in the 2 escort missions invulnerable. Overall the story was quaint if not a little apparent/predictable in its story beats, but that's fine. Once you beat it, once will likely be the last time as there's next to no replay value. For a cheap achievement game (which has 2 versions for a double boost) I'm glad they put any level of effort into a concise story.
Also the mice names are punny but I won't squeak further.
