Paper Cut Mansion

This game truly is a fun time. It feels like this game was a passion project from start to finish. I love the songs, the multiple different “world states” that the game gets you to explore to find money, objectives, and evidence as well. The rogue-lite elements seem pretty fair so far (though I haven’t died as of writing this). My only real complaint is the lack of a consistent frame rate of 60. While it doesn’t kill my enjoyment of the game in any way, it does hamper the experience when I cannot turn the camera without dropped frames. Other than that, this game is a must buy!

The art design in this game is awesome, some of my favorite out of the games I've played this year. This game has some interesting game mechanics that do set it apart from other indie titles, especially other roguelites/likes. For such a small indie team you can tell they put a lot of love into this game. While being fun and original, I feel like the gameplay loop starts to feel repetitive fairly quick. I also ran into some glitched achievements and final cutscenes not wanting to load.

Give it a try. The game is fun at it's core, and the way the assets are assembled displays artistic dedication for the craft. Bugs certainly occur for me, and possibly never for some. Enter at your own risk!

Love roguelites and wanted to like this but the repetition gets old quick. 70% walking around looking for highlighted pictures to spin around for a coin, 25% safely walking back to the start to look for a piece of paper, 5% walking while shooting predictable enemies. Sqeeze in about 1% of walking after fetch quests disguised as puzzles and dieing by getting 2 tapped by traps you walked into because 30 mins of the same low energy monotony left you day dreaming. Cut scenes are cool.

Art is nice but man is it boring
