I'll admit I'm only about an hour and a half in, and if encounter any serious bugs, I'll adjust my rating accordingly.
I like the art style and noir vibes are presented nicely. In short, the developers were successful in creating the general aesthetic that they intended.
This game gives off major SNES Shadowrun vibes, which is a very good thing, in my opinion. No real arcanepunk or cyberpunk elements, but the general gameplay. However, the aiming system, which is also very similar to 1993 Shadowrun, feels slow, inaccurate, and laborious. I'm still getting used to it, but it does drag down combat a bit.
The dialogue is a little inconsistent; it frequently shifts between good, passible, and, at times, can come off as pretty amateur. I keep waiting for a truly distasteful dialogue exchange that feels superfulous to the narrative (like in Regalia), but so far they are keeping dialogue in context. I haven't played far enough into it to form an opinion concerning the overall narrative.
