Red Solstice 2: Survivors Ultimate Edition

Game is still a little undercooked, but it's still a personal favorite. If you don't know this game it is a mix of Phoenix protocol and helldivers 1.

GREAT concept; Super enjoyable: Zombies, Aliens, Intense fights, and entertaining story, but the LB/RB controls take some getting used to. A hot selection-bar wheel might've worked better, because in the heat of battle the last thing you need to be doing as a healer is wondering "which combination of buttons gives my team heals?".. "Oh, wait, here it is!" (hits LB+wrong button and deploys 180dps chem nade.. Team dies.. Mission fails.. Mars is lost forever)

The controls are fine but the bugs in multiplayer and single player is so bad add more love to this game and I will come back 1/26/2025 They are never going to update this game ):

Not sure why its couch coop when there is no option in game to play splitscreen even tho the store page says shared/splitscreen. Game is fun tho. Devs need to fix this

This game is like...8 games in one. They took my favorite geoscape and tech tree parts of the old and new XCOM games, mashed it with...I dunno. The combat of Inquisitor: Martyr with a truly interactive/tactical environment, and deep customization of the power suited marines abilities and weapons, unleashing you against a relentless, spreading mutant horde...it just hits SO hard for me. I'm over the moon. This is bloody beautiful. I just barely give it under 5 stars due to some jank, kinda simplistic AI companions, and insufficient tutorials. Some mechanics you'll have to just figure out. Have yet to co-op, bet that's where it really, truly shines. Okay. Gonna go play more...
