Saturnalia
Santa Ragione · Action & adventure
A Survival Horror Adventure: play as a cast of characters exploring an isolated village haunted by an ancient ritual—but beware, its labyrinthine roads will change each time you lose all your characters. From the creators of FOTONICA, MirrorMoon EP, and Wheels of Aurelia.
A single play isn't quite worth the price, but if you're been looking for a horror game with alot of difficulty modes and randomization, give this a look. It runs fine for me on orginal Xbox. However, the stylized animation can be intentionally low frame rate which some people might not like. This might be masking performance problems, but I didn't notice frame drops during high action moments

A cool feel horror game.
The overall feel of the game is really appealing to me with its sounds and visuals. Though the art style may not be everyone's cup of tea.
The idea of the game is also clever to me. You have four controllable characters that Can die travel through a maze like city with a changeable layout while solving numerous mysteries at your own pace. With only a couple scripted encounters, the creature is hunting you and can appear almost at any time keeping you on your toes. I recommend atleast one play through, and the changing village and caves may interest you in another.
Also with the recent update, a 1st person mode has been introduced for some in your face encounters.

Another Overlooked, High-Quality Horror Game
Yet another hidden horror gem on Xbox i've stumbled across. It saddens me these types of games don't get more exposure. The art style is incredibly unique and adds a lot to the atmosphere, and you can switch camera perspective or add a noir filter with the D pad. The monster is cool and is good at putting you into a panic when it finds you, which is made more effective by the fog and changing color of the environment.
Saturnalia isn't for everyone (expect backtracking and stealth), but that can be said of any game. The rougelite elements are interesting yet very light, so while it may seem punishing at first it is actually fairly lenient. It's not very long of a game unless you get stuck, so take that into consideration when buying. I just about 100% it in two sittings. The procedural generation adds a bit to replay value, but not by much. But it does ensure you won't memorize the map, which works to the game's favor.
I'd absolutely recommend it for horror fans with patience.

Good aside from last area.
The last area requires "distracting the creature" in order to do an excessively loud action that will deactivate if left. There is no sure fire way to accomplish this, leaving it to luck. I know it's luck because I saw someone else do it with no attempt to distract the creature and succeed, twenty minutes of trying to distract this thing while someone else accidentally perfects it first try. Also VERY short for a game of this price. Pass if you mind luck based ending area or don't intend on doing repeat playthroughs.
