Shadow Complex

I remember when it first cameout hadnt played anything like it on xbox

We do indeed

A unique metroidvania style game with so much to explore and is just really fun! I played 4 times through, so awesome.

This side scrolling, Metroid-Vania game is a breath of fresh air. Story, art design, and gameplay are all very good. The game is about 4-8 hours depending on difficulty but, branching paths/hidden rooms combined with a xp system that maintains your current level on a new game (max level of 50) give this arcade title solid replay-ability. Also, Difficulties range from very easy (a 5 year old could beat it) to very difficult. Depending on the difficulty, the gameplay can be run and gun or slightly stealth based.

This is the one Metroidvania that Xbox owners could claim as their own, even if it went on other platforms later. When it launched back in the day, it did so with a thunderclap. The game is also written by Peter David, so expect some smart writing and dialog, too.
