Source of Madness

Great art and visuals. Not terribly hard but remember to save if on a good run- you WILL lose your place. Well worth the 20 dollars. There was a lot of love put into this game and it shows. Don't mind the negative reviews, it's worth it to check out, especially if you're into cosmic horror.

This game is really good, the art is beautiful and the idea of lovecraftian monsters is really cool! The only complaint is that i find myself using the same rings (weapons) on every run, because everything else does way to little damage to be worth it. Otherwise a very solid and fun game

Remove the blue and green filter its awful makes calibration impossible

Lover of all things lovecraft and im quite a fan of rogue games so kinda feels like this game was designed just for me. The atmosphere alone captures the darkness and dread you would expect from an lovecraftian game. And the monsters r spot on as well. Half the time u dont even know what ur looking at. They r grotesque piles of wtf with limbs poppin out here and there. And the whole vibe is dark and dreary and i love it. Genuinely looking forward to unlocking everything and trying to finish it. Only hope i dont go mad in the process lol lastly i saw someone complaining about the monsters being ugly. My question is have u ever seen a monster that wasn't ugly? I mean good god ppl will literally whine about anything no matter if it makes sense or not😒

The world and art is good. If you are a fan of H.P Lovecraft the visuals will tickle your brain. However, the game design plays too lose. Jumping is floaty and not exact. Monsters don't have attack patterns they just run into you at high speed like a bowling ball thrown by someone. Music is not really there, could have used some really catchy dark themes but you get barely anything. Sounds like a lot of complaining but I did enjoy my time with it but it could have been so much more.
