South of the Circle

If you are into narrative stories, this is a superbly well written and directed game with a movie like experience. Historical buffs will love the cold wars political aspect, whilst activists will be enthralled by the women’s right movement and how it impacted on creating the modern woman. Action seekers will enjoy the more tense and cinematic experiences set in a harsh and unforgiving land. For me, it enthralled, regardless of those elements and was just a great game to experience.

I typically don't play games like this but it had my attention from start to finish. I say wait for it to go on sale if you have any doubts but definitely buy it once it does go on sale. Great game 8/10

Not so much a game.. but as an interactive short film if you will. Either way doesn't matter. Great artwork, great story, must have experience!

Wonderful story, great voice acting. Nothing super advanced in terms of mechanics, but it's just not that kind of game. The sort of flashback style telling of the "B plot", and the way it all comes together in the end, all of it is fantastic. Certainly not my personal favorite type of game, but definitely the best version of this type of game I've played.

On the positive side: Artfully done, beauty of a game. Voice acting and non-linear plot: well crafted. This is art, not so much a game. That's the negative side - this story is on rails so hard it plays like a cut scene. The controls are cumbersome, simplified toomuch so you're not sure what dialogue you're actually choosing - and the game is essentially dialogue driven. Spoiler alert and the biggest problem: NONE of your choices actually matter. The story's conclusion is written in stone and plays out regardless of your 'choices,' so you feel robbed twice over. Once for this plot twist which invalidates ALL your decisions, ans secondly because the game end really abruptly. Too short by any standard, not worth half what I paid. Super disappointed.
