The Beast Inside (Console Version)

Game soft locks at Chapter 3 when using the code breaker. Will change review when/if the game gets updated. Found A Fix: Disconnect Controller, then reconnect it.

As for the chapter 3 bug turning off the controller then turning it back on fixes it as for the puzzle bug loading from the main menu and doing it with no errors solves that other than that amazing horror experience

As of 3/25/23, the Chapter 3 code machine is blacked out to the point of the four-digit gears not being visible after inserting them in the correct order and trying to set the code. It's unplayable, and disconnecting the controller did not work to fix the glitch.

The Beast Inside is really two separate games, with the player jumping back and forth between the past and "present". The past is supernatural horror with otherworldy enemies and lamp fuel/match collecting, Amnesia-style. The "present" is a Cold War thriller, with narrative-heavy walking sim-like gameplay. This odd combo is made even more strange with the sudden introduction of new gameplay mechanics that are used once then forgotten. But... it works. Everything is wrapped up and connected in a satisfying way. The past parts are plenty spooky, while the present does a good job with instilling a sense of paranoia. My only real complaint is that the twist was painfully obvious to me early on, so some of the intrigue it tried to instill fell flat. Still, the journey to that point was fun enough to make it worthwhile. For an indie it looked fantastic. Lots of woodsy exploration and playing with physics. It's a very unique game with tons of variety and a predictable yet strong story.

Not sure why this works but connect a pc mouse move cursor over cryptograph box then unplug tada you may progress further. :)
