The Last Hero of Nostalgaia Deluxe Edition

First things first, this game is the closest I've seen to an indie title capturing the magic of Dark Souls. I absolutely recommend playing it for this reason alone, but it has more to offer than that. The Last Hero of Nostalgaia has an intriguing story, a unique setting, good humor, and the tense combat of a quality soulslike. Overall, the game is very technically sound, with minor hiccups expected of such a large scale indie title. Beware of occasional graphical errors, missed weapon swings, and problems related to a counter move obtained later in the game. The biggest issue I encountered was a section of flooring that killed my character as though it were a pitfall, which was easily avoided on my next pass through. None of these served to cause much inconvenience however, and were encountered rarely. Overall, this is a seemingly simple soulslike, but with so very much more hiding underneath.

Bought this game for myself and GF, it's a really fun game but during our first co-op attempts on new characters the game of whoever was trying to join the other would crash non-stop. Nothing online at all about it, but I see other reviews acknowledging this issue. After she decided to play and get further in her game than my first character was we decided to try to co-op again, we created new characters and this time she put the portal in an equipment slot like where you would put potions, for some reason when she attempted to join my game her game would crash BUT when I joined her game it FINALLY WORKED! We tried multiple thing to get it to where she could join me but only I can join her not the other way around. Now that we are able to play together on our new characters (but only in her world) she has pointed out multiple times now an NPC was missing during parts of the story it was supposed to be (more than 4 times in the first big area) so when co-op does work it... game breaks

Got to level 30 and dropped off a cliff by the 1st anvil bonfire and landed on a roof in the ore village and noticed the floor flickering a bit. So i dropped off roof and ran to the glitched floor and fell threw map. Can use menu but trying to respawn at last site just black screens and reset just loads me in falling lol gna restart cause i was enjoying my time but yea avoid glitchy not loaded in floors lol

Just think Dark Souls, and don't let the bright colors trick you into security. I only JUST made it to Firelink, and I'm a fan.

Amazing and fun story with challenging gameplay. Co-op worked on release day but now crashes after joining invites.
