The Talos Principle Ultimate Collection

Previously played this game on PC and was blown away. Best described as a semi open world Portal game that has a deep philosophical story. Definitely recommended!!

Gameplay is in the style of Portal 2, The Turing Test and older Sherlock Holmes games by Frogwares. Also a bit like The Witness, but with abilities and more varied puzzles. Story is deeply philosophical. Existentialism, rationalism, empiricism and transhumanism. Also theology, mythology and artificial intelligence. Do you do what you are told? Or blindly follow those before you? Or rather do whatever you want instead? Graphics are decent and has quality or performance option. There are some frame drops when inside the elevators, but I assume this is due to loading/buffering. Music is very fitting for the atmosphere and changes with each hub/nexus. There are quite a few mutually exclusive achievements which will require multiple playthroughs or reloading. I completed the story and collected all sigils (not including stars) without any in-game hints or outside guide in 17 hours (in-game save, not Xbox time). YMMV depending on your outside the box thinking. I used a guide for stars.

If you love first person puzzle games, this is for you. It also looks gorgeous and has a greatly customizable photo mode. I see another review complaining about frame rate, and while I suppose that's fair, I ask myself how much I care about good frame rates in a non physics based puzzle game. The answer is not much. Especially not enough to drop a 1-star bomb like they did. If you enjoy puzzle games, I recommend trying this game for yourself. This version also comes with the DLC and a brand new chapter so there's plenty of value. If you really enjoy this there's also a sequel and a free prequel (only on PC) named Sigils of Elohim.

Closest game to Portal in the store. This title focuses on puzzle solving while driving a philosophical stoy line. There is no humor as was in the Portal franchise but it is deeply engaging. The puzzles arc in complexity nicely but never feel out of reach. I waffled on purchasing this one for awhile do to the price but this game is flat out awesome! Worth every penny.

If you're looking to buy one puzzle game, The Talos Principle should be it. It has everything: an amazing story fleshed out through a gorgeous environment, thought-provoking puzzles that gradually ramp up in difficulty, and a fantastic ending that will keep you thinking even after you stop playing. Plus, it comes with the Road to Gehenna DLC, so you're going to get a great deal.
