Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair
Team17 Digital Ltd. · Action & adventure · Platformer
Yooka & Laylee are back in a brand-new platform hybrid adventure! They must run, jump and roll their way through a series of challenging 2D levels, face a puzzling Overworld and rally the Royal Beettalion to take down Capital B and his Impossible Lair!
Banjo Kazooie imitator's second game. Levels are 2D, overworld is 3D. Very enjoyable, feels more like Donkey Kong Country now. If you lose too many times in a level, it gives you the option to skip that part.

Fun until the End
Lets just say they call the the Dungeon Impossible for a reason. Rest of the game was fun until the final Boss though.

Highly Recommended
This feels like a combo game with the overworld being like the traditional yooka game and the added sidescrolling levels nostalgic of DK. Dontmiss out on this gameif youlove platforming.

An Under-Rated Gem
This game doesn't get enough recognition for how genuinely fun it is as a platformer, not to mention how nice it looks and sounds. Yes, the first/final level is hard. Some find it to be too tedious and time consuming, and it may well be. I just don't think that's reason enough to denounce the entire game as bad. There's still a majority of the game to enjoy without touching the Lair; likely the vast majority of your time spent playing. Especially if you're collecting every bee, coin, tonic, and achievement.
And I guess if you just really don't have the patience or ability to finish the game... Isn't that on you? It's not like it literally cannot be done. I don't think it's reasonable to expect everybody to be able to beat every game, no matter the genre or publisher. You aren't entitled to an easy mode, or any other concessions, if that's not how the developer intends their game to work. You can always watch the ending on Youtube.
Yeah, this is a tired argument, sue me I guess.

Fun with a classic feel
Reminds me of a donkey kong country style. Lots of fun
