Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

Amazing AA experience. This game is fun to play in the vein of God of War. It's got an excellent, unique story - with an interesting twist on choices and their consequences. It graphically looks spectacular on performance mode. The industry needs a recalibration in what high-end games we should expect, and this is a perfect example. It breaks my heart that this game won't sell well: just like Immortals of Aveum, Steel Rising, Atlas Fallen, Evil West, Plague Tale, Greedfall, Atomic Heart, Vampyr, and many more. These are genuinely good games that rarely get above 7/10 because AA games don't have the budget to do everything, and they get totally overlooked/underappreciated - completely unfair. I fear publishers (Focus Entertainment particularly) will eventually get scared of releasing these great single-player games that would have been up-to-snuff with AAA titles even 10 years ago. PLEASE BUY THIS GAME! It's awesome!

Story is 11/10. Greater enemy variation could've been added, but not needed. Combat is an easy 8/10 and the graphics are a 9/10, plus a game with such great performance on release? Sign me tf up. Never disappointed by Focus👌

Need more games like this nowadays. Glad to see some companies still care about single player, gameplay, and story.

-Graphics are really well done, characters and their attire seem believable(muddy clothes haven't looked this good) -The world and time it portrays seems bleak, desperate, depressing and lived in -Voiceovers are top notch which absolutely make any dialogue 100% better -Story, choices and interactions will have you immersed before you even realize it happened. I cannot stress how beautifully depressing the story is -Combat is quite solid and fun with choices between light/heavy attacks, block/parry/evade and ability to change to Antea(spirit world) mid combat with one button. Also interested to see how ranged incorporates into combat(about to get musket) -Many items to pick up and find in the world which has you going off on side trails to find This game was not over advertised like all the big name companies love to do, and I honestly think that's great. Did not artificially inflate or promise anything to it's customers. Thank you to all who had a hand creating this gem.

A little of Plague Tale, Tomb Raider, Dark Souls. Great characters, setting and story with engaging gameplay. Choices and consequences are always fun.
