Chronos: Before the Ashes

I was prepared to play a bad game to get more of the story behind Remnant: From the Ashes. What I got was a very solid game AND more of the story behind Remnant. For those that don't know, this was originally a VR only game that was made BEFORE Remnant. This is a remaster for consoles. It runs at a smooth 60 fps on the Series X, the controls are not nearly as bad as people are saying, and overall it is a well designed game worth playing. With a bonus of getting the story leading to Remnant.

A fun trip through strange worlds. Brilliant game design with great mechanics and unique boss fights. This game is built around dying. So be ready to fail then to learn. If you get stuck take a step back and change your approach. The game won't hand you the victory you have fight for it!.................................... But with that said the sliding puzzle is the worst use a guide and goodluck

For the amount of hate it gets this game is a really good hidden gem for those who actually know how to play it. Is it difficult? Sure! Of course it is! But that's what the game is about. You're meant to fail and get back up again. And for those who say the controls are strange just don't have patience to learn them.

As a huge fan of the Remnant series I cannot believe it all started as a VR title. Reworked for consoles and very smooth. If you liked remnant and want more lore and world building this does it wonderfully! No issues on series X. Took me about 11 hours on Adventure difficulty and getting almost all of the achievements. Well worth the sale price of 10$. I might also 100% this at a later date

After reading all the bad reviews for years, i bought this the other day and loved every minute, i beat the game (check my cheevos) I think people are confused as to what a bug is, because the game i played had zero. This was a truly enjoyable experience as a souls and remnant fan, and yes, you can invert the y axis, just not for puzzles(for which you dont have to use right stick at all anyway) Over all, if you love gfgs other games, like remnant and darksiders3, you will love this.
