Cryptmaster

Game is pretty amazing. The cryptmaster is a fantastic character. The visuals are a absolute treat. And the typing based gameplay is very fun and funny. Highly recommended to fans of Inscryption

Update: I ended up buying the full game, and its worth it. I groaned when i trial ended, I definitely wanted to continue. Its important to mention that im a nerd for word/spelling/guessing kind of games, so I love the idea of this. Figuring out and using words to advance though a dungeon crawler with a clever, witty, skeletal narrator/guide to assist. I went to ms store to buy after trial, but couldnt talk myself into paying $20plus for it. If i had the cash to burn, i probably would, but i dont at the moment. $10 would have sold me, I really like it, just not for the price.

If this review was based on charm factor, creativity, passion and the amazing soundtrack, this an instant 5 stars! That being said however, I do have to take off one star for a couple glaring issues. 1. I do not understand why combat was designed the way it was? Everything else (aside from whatever, which was quite addicting I might add) was deisgned around hangman. I do not understand why that was not used for combat, especially considering what we got as I attempted to avoid it when possible, which leads to my second and final gripe. 2. I HATED that I essentially had to grind for souls to beat the game. Grinding needed to die in the 90's like zubaz pants. I basically grinded souls by playing whatever because the combat sucks so much. I know it sounds like I hated this game, but that is not true at all. This was a very funny game which was quite enjoyable and a nice change of pace from my normal fare. Also, the soundtrack was QUITE good!

The game as a whole has a lot of personality and humor to it, which is a rarity among puzzle games, and I enjoyed all of it.

Buy at your own risk. It might work for you but all other games boot up fine.
