Curious Expedition 2

Gotta love a good ol' Colonialism simulator. Nah but for real though, Maschinen-Mensch are a great team and even if there are some technical pratfalls (mostly with Club Competitions being wonky in my experience) This is still a 5 star for me. Roguelike action that allows you to play how you want in exploring endless islands of intrigue and mystery, a nice little story when you play the regular mode and a lovely Director Mode (that really should just be called Endless Mode, Director Mode makes it seem like a Create An Island feature or something) come together with various systems that keep you invested in your performance to make pure, flowing goodness. Plus, I always like the twinge of guilt when I purposefully make my expedition go insane for fun. Don't tell anybody.

Oregon Trail meets Jules Verne fantasy. Tons packed into this package, no two adventures will be totally alike. If you got a taste for classic adventure stories or miss addicting, straightforward but not simple, text-based strategy games, do not let yourself sleep on this modernized take. My only request for (hopefully) Curious Expedition 3 would be a character creator--or, at least allowing character renaming--I desperately want to send my friends on these harrowing adventures!

So hard to find these hidden gems buried under heaps of trash. Love this game, would highly recommend.

Minor changes take a little getting used to, but does not disappoint - a solid story with gameplay in the style of the original, but with *much* greater depth. I would love to see more unique, original content from this developer! (or failing that, maybe a remake of something similar, like Ten Tasks of Herakles?)

Will keep u goin for hours
