Demoniaca: Everlasting Night

This metroidvania has a cool visual appeal. It seems tough, but fair. The control scheme is counter intuitive. Being able to remap the controls would make it more enjoyable. Catch it on sale if you're curious or interested.

I hate the fact the jump button is mapped to the Right Trigger instead of something like the A Button, only if you could remap the controls then this game could be awesome. If the devs are seeing this please update this game to have remapping control settings.

Awesome music and concept, but the game is miserable to play thanks to the worst button layout in controller history. RT to jump, seriously? Worse still, there's no way to remap anything, so you're stuck with a counterintuitive mess. Utterly bizarre design choice.

The story isn't much to write home about. The character dialogue is poorly written and the exposition heavy lines leave you with zero guesses. Like you know where the story will end up. The controls are fine and they make sense for the exploration gameplay. You'll get used to them. The game gets really good once you start finding good gear items. The combat was annoying at first but then you come to realize you can spam (A) for all enemies. My favorite part of this game is the night metal style of this game. The soundtrack, the enemy and character design, the areas. The entire game feels like 2D DMC to me. It scratched an itch I didn't even have. 5/5 👌

Potential, but damn the contols are bad; and no ability to map. Gameplay also feels off, a bit wonky, so to speak.
