Dungeon of the Endless

i have eyeballed this game since it was released on steam and man am i happy with my $9.99 purchase worth every penny.this game to me is strategy, tower defense, resource collecting and spending with a hint of action/rpg. if your into strategy/tower defense games you wont be dissapointed i give it a solid 4 outta 5

i saw that this was highly praised on Steam by pc users so i gave it a shot and WOW! Probaly the best 10$ game for its replay value. you can literally play this all day, every day for a very long time. i will say its not for everyone but if you fall in the catagory of liking any strategy then its a must buy. it combines RTS &turn based in a brillant way. you really cant go by screenshots&vids for this, its a game that must be experienced by playing it to appreciate its genius.

I bought this game after watching the trailer, and was thrilled by the tactical gameplay. Perma-death and no save-crawling to victory is a recipe for rage-quitting. The flaw that holds the game back from a 5-star rating is a run-time error, experienced around three hours of gameplay. I made it to level 12, only to have one of my heroes get stuck in a room and then become invulnerable. The monsters piled upon the hero and soon I had five waves all in one spot. I could not advance to the next floor, even though my other three heroes were in the elevator. In another run-time error, the hero menu was locked out. I was unable to pull up the stats menu to level up, nor could I access my inventory. This was around three hours. If you plan a long crawl, save your game and quit to the dashboard, then resume. (Two days later: This morning I played for two hours and then noticed that my heroes were not leveling up. Any more bugs and I'm dropping my star rating to three.)

I was a bit apprehensive about this game when I first watched some gameplay clips, as I am generally not a fan of RTS games. But as I put a little time into the game I found myself being challenged by the harsh default difficulty setting so cruelly labelled "easy". I wanted more. It's not just challenging, it's stimulating and exciting. I've been on the edge of my seat numerous times in the higher levels as it becomes a fight against odds, cursing myself for not saving up more rescources. I also praise the very well rendered pixel graphics. The developer used dynamic shadows for a very satisfying affect that adds depth to the low res sprites. My only complaints are the lack of local multiplayer and that I have yet to see another player online. (msg me if you want to play!) Even if I can't beat the Easy difficulty right now, I certainly have hours of playtime ahead. Rating dropped from 5 to 3 due to game ending bugs

Perfect game if you like dungeons and dragons. Super hard, strategy intense, great multiplayer, and except for a few minor bugs, the game is very fun
