DYNASTY WARRIORS 9 Empires

Game is boring. Take everything that made DWE8 fun and throw it out the window. They took all the simulation stuff out of empires and just left the barebones 'become emperor and take over the map' part. So no more playthroughs where you're just a vagabond, roaming and taking bounties, gaining riches and collecting weapons. No more playthroughs where you're just a soldier, who rises through the ranks to someday become a military strategist for another lord, someday secretly planning a coup to take over politically and make your blood brother emperor instead. Nope none of the cool stuff. Just start an army, take over the map. That's it. Also there's only like 10 customization items in each category. Very difficult to make unique looking characters. And you can't download other player's custom characters without a special code :( I've been playing Dynasty Warriors since 4XL came out on PS2! I love DW! Please give more love into future games.

DW devs: "let's take everything good about DW8E, and do none of that."

Its been bad, but somehow its gotten worse. They put no effort in , and actually took what little was good 9 and removed it. I have been playing this series for 23 years and im done, this broke me.

Took all the good aspects from dynasty warriors and tried something that clearly doesnt work. Been a fan since 3 but now they lost me. 8 empires was good but they gave up with 9.😢

Remember when DW9 came out and koei boasted about that lively open world and overhauled combat system that turned out to be the worst features in the game? Well they're still here, albeit with combat now including stratagems like previous empire iterations and the open world now just being a hub where you bond with officers and do a lot of nothing else like in DW9. The one idea that would be great for an empires game, conquer all of ancient china on a grand open world scale, and they instead make every battle a castle siege/defend. Your allies are braindead and if you don't have a clear advantage it will be very difficult. I can't really recommend it but I actually had some fun with it. So really only get if you're a hardcore warriors fan and want relatively simple but annoying 1000 gamerscore
