Indivisible

I've played this front to back in 2 playthroughs. And i absolutely loved it! But because of Mike Z and Lab Zero's PR nightmare, alot of extra content (WHICH PEOPLE BACKED BTW) will never come to pass. IT STILL HAS POTENTIAL. Just need help to be unlocked and unleashed

I enjoyed the gameplay of this game. Sadly the best features are withheld till the end of the game. When you have pretty much done everything and are at the final boss. Also, metroivanias before this game came out handled back tracking much better. Needs much better fast travel mechanics. Loved the unique turn based style combat and mixture of abilities.

Early impression a little in Pros:BEAUTIFUL anime graphics, great voice acting, responsive controls, good platforming with Metroidvania like areas to explore, great combat reminiscent of a faster and streamlined Paper Mario timing based RPG combat. It has story and lively characters, which is not a big point of judgement for me. Cons:Lacking a good tutorial, lack of character customization. I rarely say this, but easily worth the asking price. There is so much heart and soul + a very fresh take at a genre. Buy this game!

The graphics, character, and even world design are pretty neat. This extends to the combat system, which seems interesting on its face, but ultimately does not have enough good feedback to the player to feel comfortable with. This is immediately compounded by the fact that no matter how much 'experience' you get, everything scales to you. You can't really grind your way through anything, so its not really an RPG so much as a difficulty treadmill. Then you get tons and tons of characters, and grinding them up doesn't do anything really either. There isn't a lot of choice. But the coup de grace that ultimately does this game in is the platforming. Like most platforming, its fundamentally terrible and of course, mandatory to play, or to even get what little actual scaling elements you can get from the game. There is a boss fight, which, while not very hard, is more or less impossible if you're not good at platforming.

Indivisible has some of the best looking characters in any indie game to date. The artstyle for the various areas is lovely too. The combat is pretty good but can be cluttered and a bit janky control wise. The major issue I have is the platforming, it's made artificially difficult for no real reason with some annoying cheap tricks that hurt the game instead of better it. The platforming controls can be sketchy at best causing you to randomly miss or face the incorrect directions too. Annoying.
