This is the Greatest 2D Platformer Ever Made
I've been playing videogames for decades. I play a wide range of genres but one of my favorites is platformers--particularly, puzzle platformers. Ori and the Blind Forest is, in my opinion, the best 2D game in the genre. The game is perfect--gorgeous graphics, art, sound, and music, coupled with phenomenally perfected gameplay. This is a must-buy game. The Xbox Live integration--achievements, plus cross-save with the Xbox One version, and integration with Windows 10's Xbox app for achievement tracking, clip sharing, social features, etc.--makes it even better. I played this on a Surface Pro 4 (i7, 8GB) with an Xbox One controller and a large, second monitor. Everything worked smoothly. I love how easy it is to install games from the Windows 10 Store too.

Great Game
I typically play the usual action games; Assassin's Creed, Halo, Lord of the Rings, etc. I got Ori with my Xbox One bundle and for a while I didn't touch it; when I actually put in the time to play it (finally) I didn't know what to expect, nor did I think I'd love it. Once I was 10 minutes deep into the narrative, I felt invested. The painted and drawn graphics are stunning, projecting atmosphere and personality, the controls are tight and easy to pick up, and when playing and completing objectives you really feel like you're progressing and getting stuff done. While the story is fairly simple and short it has a surprising amount of depth, and it's worth paying attention to. I don't think that this game is for everyone, but if you're looking for something different and creative, you might want to give this one a shot.

Stunningly Beautiful
Nothing not to love, incredibly smooth graphics, fluid gameplay, enchanting soundtrack, and extremely responsive controls. A near perfect game, only complaint is it should have been longer. Worth the money, get it
A Work Of Magic And Wonder
Music, Art, Gameplay, this game has it all. When a game can tell you so very little and yet still make you fall in love with its characters you know you've done something right. Fair gameplay even on the hardest difficulty makes every fall seem more of a lesson than the game simply punishing you. The music is beautiful in its own right as it fills the world guiding your emotions and enveloping you in a forest corrupted by decay yet life and light cling to the last strand of hope. And the art. What can I say about it that would do it justice? I have no words, it is simply something you need to see for yourself. In the end Ori and the Blind Forest is a work of art laced with fun and enjoyable gameplay. Can you face the darkness with just one life to give? It's a challenge anyone should try. If you have a love for platformers and a love of art and music, then get this game and face the growing darkness to bring light back to your home. Be brave little one, your tale is ready to begin.

Amazing (no spoilers)
I dont know why people would rate this 4 stars or lower. This is a digital masterpiece...it has an authentic storyline and characters, it weaves you into the world of Nibel. The graphics and art are beyond comparison, they make you hungry for more of this game. But the music, the music is what tops this game off, Its moving and fitting for each part of the story and makes the game 110% better. Easily worth twice the price. BUY THIS GAME!!!
