Pillars of Eternity: Complete Edition

Deep, engaging roleplaying game with a plethora of lore. Pillars of Eternity is packed with enough content to satisfy a D&D Dungeon Master or fans of epic fantasy novels like Lord of the Rings. The visuals are breath-taking. The sound design is top-notch. Combat has a bit of a learning curve for the average console gamer, but overall this port of the Kickstarter darling delivers.

If you enjoyed old school PC RPGs like Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights, Icewind Dale, or Planescape: Torment, Pillars of Eternity is a must have. The combat is tactical and challenging, the writing is top notch, the pre-rendered backgrounds look amazing in 4K, and the world and lore are very interesting. If you miss RPGs from the late 90s and early 00s, BUY THIS GAME! The nostalgia alone is worth the price, but even by itself, Pillars of Eternity is an amazing RPG with memorable characters, an epic story, and over 100 hours of content.

Great CRPG in the same vein as Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale. Not overly complex or clunky like some recent CRPGS(Planescape: ToN). Definite buy for fans of older isometric RPGs, you will not be dissapointed.

Please! Look into the game a little bit to get the feel of it. It doesn't look like much, sure. If you have any idea what you're getting into and/or it looks even slightly interesting then give it a shot. That's what I did and I haven't felt a game sink its hooks into me this deeply in a Long time. I can't stop playing. I just can't. 10/10 Storytelling 10/10 Character Creation 9.5/10 Mechanics/Gameplay PS I've never played Baldurs Gate or anything like this game before unless you count Diablo 2 or Divinity:OS (but that one never sucked me in) BOTTOM LINE you don't have to be experienced in the genre to enjoy this game.

So far I am really enjoying this game as the characters are each interesting in their own way. I have had an issue where the game gets stuck in battle mode after a fight and you have to reload to your last save which has been quite frustrating.
