Rogue Legacy

Love this type of game. Nearly endless upgrades. max out will take 100's hours. Snce uppdate there more variety in castle types and new enemies. Love binding of Isaac but I find rouge legacy and toy odyssey far more addicting once you've died and upgraded gear and move set. Rogue legacy has shovel knight gameplay crossed with RPG rogue Castlevania with a touch of binding of Isaac with random abilities with each playthrough. Legacy has permanent upgrades and moves but spells and knight type are random generated after each death. You play as one of three of your offsprings.

If you like grindey games and platformers like castlevania then this is the perfect game for you! Side scrolling rogue like at its' finest, this game is incrediby challenging yet rewarding at the same time! It also has a great sense of humor! Would definitely recommend!

I expected to not like this game, but I loved it. Yes, it is hard, especially at first. But after I gave it 15 to 20 lives I was hooked. You die, but each life you earn coins for power-ups, find new gear, and then it gets easier. You also learn the enemies and their patterns so you get more skilled. The game has a core basic layout, but beyond that it's procedurally generated so each time there's new exploration, new risks to take, so it doesn't become a dull game of memorization. It's a good game to go back to when you only have a few minutes to play, and once you get good it can be a relaxing game where your brain can just tune out.

So after spending some time with this game I think people with the negative reviews either gave up 30 minutes in, or never tried unlocking anything, your characters will get more powerful. and "Crude" graphics when axgame is this good, Seldom are. I've put 20 hours into this, and i want another 20 5 star! ORIGINAL review below. You will DIE, and die plenty. think of it as a metrovania that wants you dead. like spelunky? like castlevania? get this. hate grinding, or dying? pass it. you will either LOVE, or HATE this game. I Love it. 5 stars

I highly reccomend this game to fans of games like Spelenky, Super Meatboy, and Shovel Knight.
