Scars Above

Context matters. This is an indie game. Even were this a traditionally published game, I would have at the very least liked and enjoyed it. It's a solid, pretty sci-fi soulslike with great voice acting and surprisingly good feeling/playing combat. It has its issues, but none major. But the scale of this team's accomplishment blew me away, making something this good with 10% the team size/resources of their AAA competitors. I constantly found my jaw on the floor just with how impressed I was that I was playing a game that looked this good and played this well, and made by such a small team. They punched way above their weight and frankly got all the hits in that mattered and more than they had any right to. This is a good game by any metric, but it's an incredible accomplishment in context. For that it gets a 5/5 and a big thumbs up from me. These guys are worth keeping an eye on. Their website says they have two games currently in development and I am excited.

This game plays like dream. Nothing complicated. Pick up and play. Look great on series X. It's one of those great games they don't talk about. It's a fun game. Especially for the price. No technical issues.

This game was really fun. Great linear story based AA game. Get it on sale and enjoy a nice weekend. You deserve it. Yeah i'm talking to you. Dont forget the pizza and drinks. Also easy 1000 achievements

Enjoying it. Straight forward, not bloated. Simple, engaging combat, and intriguing world. 👍

Having a blast. Totally worth it. Challenging and has depth + variety. Hadn't heard about this till today. Glad I gave it a shot!
