Shantae and the Seven Sirens

As i was playing, i couldn't help but notice the similarites. Both have a similar feel to them, the atmosphere, the music and the level design. Obviously super metroid has the feeling of isolation nailed down, but this game also has that feeling when you go under the island. Gone are the transformation dances, going back to a pirates curse item system, although you still transform into an animal, its with the press of a button, making combat more fluid. There are dances still, but they are aoe attacks that you use to uncover secrets or the wayforward *wink*.Overall it feels like a sucessor to pirates curse, and stands on its own two legs in terms of continuity in the series. Definitely a buy if you are a shantae fan (even tho there are only 4 games on xbox, when are we getting the first game Xbox?) 10/10 not enough bolo

Shantae is back to the Metroidvania formula with a map system & a new monster card deck system to customize Shantae's skills to your liking. Rather than the level-select Mega Man X style in ½ Genie Hero. Love the new character portraits, newly added dialogue & animated cutscenes in Seven Sirens. The newly reworked skill system for animal transformations has been mapped to specific buttons. Which I think is awesome. The only downside is time no longer freezes when using your dance skill like in previous Shantae titles. Also, when are the devs gonna bring back Shantae's OG dance moves, special combat moves (like the drill kick & somersault kick) and the mini-games from the first Shantae game on Gameboy Color? Because the dancing mini game in Seven Sirens is NOT fun at all. But if you're trying 100% the game then you have to get a perfect score on that mini-game. Which can be somewhat frustrating. Anyway, looking foward to Risky's Revolution for GBA. After being shelved for 20 years!

I love shantae❤️💋😘

Hadnt played a platform in a very long time. Gave this a try and it was fun as sh#+!

Absolutely one of the best games I've ever played. A fantastic addition to the Shantae series. From the intro, to the design, and dialogue/story. This game is a must have. I absolutely loved playing every second of it.
