Sid Meier's Pirates!

RUM, BEER, QUESTS, AND MEAD THESE ARE THE THINGS THAT A PIRATE NEEDS RAISE THE FLAG AND LETS SET SAIL UNDER THE SIGN OF THE STORM OF ALE!🎶

The year is 1987 and once again Sid Mieir knocked it out of the park hard enough to reach Alpha Centauri..... A classic from the 8 bit era when a games ran on 64k. The fact that this game is 35 years old and still relevant 35 years later is testament to just how much of a genius game designer Sid. Sid is America's Shigeru Miyamoto. If you are too young to have missed this check it out. Us old folks didn't have it so bad.

If you like to chase booty with your peg leg, this game is for you. Have the daughter of a king really shiver your timbers if ya know what I mean.

I have bought the c64, Amiga, Windows, iPad, and Xbox versions of this game. It's an old comforting friend that is always installed.

This game is a nice remake of the original PC version. I played that game like crazy, and now that I have it on Xbox, I play it like crazy now! Can't recommend this enough for everyone, a great mix of strategy and action. One issue is that you can't (or I haven't been able, at least) land a scouting party just anywhere on land, as you can in the original. Still, heartily recommend.
