Stray Blade

PROS -combat is fun with a learning curve -the drip is immaculate -great voice acting -story seems interesting -the finishers are (chefs kiss) amazing -skill tree for you and your companion are good -searching the world is enjoyable (at least for me) since you'll be finding blueprints and dye for your armor -crafting is nice and simple. there's a lot more but ill move onto the cons. CONS- im on a series s and would experience choppiness in frames -the settings are kind of bare -combat while fun and rewarding can sometimes feel a lil janky -the lock on camera needs a bit of tweaking so u don't randomly unlock while fighting -the game doesn't tell you this but you can only parry diagonal or horizontal slashes and not overhead or thrusting attacks -not a lot of weight in attacks As someone who was hyped for this game I definitely say it delivers. It's just missing a few key ingredients such as optimization, weighty attacks, tweaking the lock on camera.

All it needs is the ability to roam after completing the story

Loving this game so far but my run has sadly bugged out with boji not spawning on the golden flash quest, i have no way to continue the story because of this. Hopefully devs see this.

The game starts out feeling bad, with no clue why parries are missing,but pretty soon you get the hang of it and then its aton of fun. Lot of weapon that unlock new skills and 2 skill trees is also pretty cool.

I held off on this game for a while due to the mixed reviews; but after finally giving it a chance, I can say wholeheartedly that it's definitely a game worth playing. It feels like old school Fable or KoA, but with some Souls style combat, and also difficulty settings for those less Souls initiated. There are loads of weapons and armors to collect, decent customization options. The story and lore could have better presentation, but isn't bad. I did encounter a few minor bugs, nothing game breaking. It's a solid game for a good price. Especially if you manage to snag it on sale. Edit: Encountered a few major bugs - collectibles not spawning in, two achievements bugged out and not obtainable - Collector and Master of All Domains - and one of the "alpha" beasts fell into the water, preventing me from being able to max out my recovery. I'd love to give a better score, the game is by no means bad - but achievements being unobtainable is just not permissible.
