I played this game at the wrong time in my life. Been going through a lot that's had me stressed and bummed, and I lost the patience and energy. I was closer to figuring out this game's ultimate puzzles than I realized. But I gave in and looked it up. The opportunity is gone forever. And let me tell you, this game's ultimate puzzles are unlike anything I've ever seen in a game. So unbelievably intricate and well thought out, just brilliant. Don't do it. Don't give in. Take a break if you have to and come back another time refreshed. But keep at it. Wish I had.

This is one of those games that once you beat it, you wish you could play it again for the first time. Just when you think you've seen the whole overworld, there's even more new areas. The art is fantastic, and the game has the perfect balance of letting you figure things out for yourself and giving you breadcrumbs of info as you progress. The combat can be difficult at times, but very rewarding. The music is incredible. The world building is fantastic. When the credits rolled I couldn't believe how few people actually built this game. They did a great job!

You don't need to know anything about this game, and you don't need to understand it's language. The strength of Tunic comes from not knowing, and this is coming from someone who took one look at the art design and didn't like it. I never even imagined playing it but ended up bored and trying it out. Needless to say I like the art now, it grew on me, plus the music is great, I listen to it regularly nowadays. There's nothing else I can say other than I've truly never been so happy to be wrong before.

Superb art style, hard to put down once you get the hang of dying over and over again. Best when played by 2 players (the other being your wife screaming with you once you get past a dungeon boss after the nth attempt)!
