Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood Champion of Gaia

By the time I'm wirting this review I've currently logged 10.5-11 hours in the story. I had been curious about this game for a bit after seeing a listing in the store and trailer looked decent. But I'd also heard such polarizing things about it. I picked it up finally knowing very little about it, having no clue that it was based on a well known table top game, I picked it up because it was on sale for $9.99.... Is this a GOTY contender, no. Is it the most polsihed game I've played, no. The story and characters are at times very cheesy, the visuals aren't as bad as people made it out to be but the characters at times feel dull. But for $9.99 it's pretty enjoyable mindless hacck and slash, a welcome change of pace from the CoD or Overwatch multiplayer with buddies. Something to just kill some time on and earn some easy achievements for my fellow hunters out there, there are soooo many easy achievements. Would not buy at full price but its decent when its on a deep sale.

I really wanted to like this game, as there's next to no werewolf games out there. And this game showed a lot of promise with face paced combat and sweet abilities. But eventually, you'll realize that all you do in this game is fight the same enemies over and over with no change aside from slightly stronger foes. And everytime you clear a battle section, you're immediately thrown into the next about a few seconds later. The game does mix things up by giving you the choice between stealth or werewolf, but stealth is so annoyingly difficult that it's not worth it. Plus every section in this game is just one big plain field with nothing of interest. I really hope we get another werewolf game soon, cause this one just ain't it.

Gameplay is fairly repetative and uninspired, but for 5 bucks, honestly its good enough for me

Lots of 1 star reviews from people who probaly havent even put in an hour let alone finished the game at all. Graphics dont make the game. The bit wars of the 90's was a thing. all graphics no gameplay. For the price that I paid for this game I genuinely enjoyed the experience. Yes, the game could have had a bit more of a polished but considering this game was based off of a tabletop RPG its not that bad. Graphics: 7/10 Voice acting: 6/10 Gameplay 7/10 Overall. A semi decent game, with a decent sotryline. If its on sale give it a try, you might just like it too. Shame there isnt more werewolf related games out there.

Don't knock it till you try it. I bought it despite the reviews, and it's a beautiful game. Play stealthy in both human and wolf forms, and when you're detected...well, enrage into your werewolf form and paint the room red.
