Wizardry: Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord

I still had my maps on graph paper,and still accurate,from when I was in middle school.They did a gr8 job,and am hopeful they do the series

I was 9 years old when the first Wizardry game launched back in 1981. My teacher had an apple II and bought games for her students to play. If we did good in class we were rewarded with computer time, this game mesmerized me because it was so close to playing DnD on a computer at time. The devs dida great job updating this game, this is one of the most important games in history along with Rogue and Ultima. These three games need to be preseved as ALL games today are based on mechanics invented by them. Please do more work like this.

I played this back in 1989 with a friend, we would stay up all night and play and map everything, night after night, this game is the best. I hope we get the trilogy 👍👍👍

IMHO, If this is your kind of genre then it is by far worth every penny. If this is not your genre of game, skip it and dont leave a bad review because you decided to buy into a genre that you do not enjoy. The game is not for the timid. It is brutal. It will not hold your hand. I suggest that you watch the few videos of those kind enough to share tid bits of how to play without spoiling the game for you. I also suggest looking at the wiki and if nothing else, learn how to backup your run by making a copy. Im 2 days in my team is level 8 on floor 4 and i can not put the game down. My first team got to level 7, i went through hidden 1 way doors and could not find my way out. I also did not know about making a copy. They died from 1-3 damage per encounter over and over desperately seeking a way out. The knowing my team at level 7 would die of a 1000 cuts was brutal. Honestly it is the most fun I've had with a game in a very long time. Thank you Devs!!!
