Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap

Put hundreds of hours into the Monster Land / World games back when they were brand new, and this developer has out done themselves . Controls feel really tight , the new art and soundtrack are amazing . I like that with a press of the right trigger you instantly see the retro graphics and a push down on the right stick gives you the original soundtrack !!! Very nicely done !!! Now if we could get a remake of the Master System version of Monster Land I would be in heaven !!!!!

This was one of my favorite games on the 8-bit Sega, and the devs of this remake absolutely did it justice. Beautiful hand drawn animations that retain all the charm of the original, tight controls, and a balanced difficulty curve make this a perfect title for fans of old-school platform and adventure games. If you enjoyed the Wonder Boy / Monster World titles of the 8 and 16-bit eras, this won't dissapoint.

This is a classic sidescrolling, action RPG. I loved the original and with dramatic upgrade in graphics and sound, there is no reason to believe this is even better. I watched some YouTube videos and the programmers had a ton of passion for the original, so I feel that love will equate to an amazing game.

I never thought I'd see the day that this game would be resurrected all the while getting a top notch graphics upgrade. well done developers well done!

I still have my original copy for the Master System. This was the perfect game, "Metroidvania" long before it became a genre. Dragon's Trap is one of the greatest, truly a work of art. I've been looking forward to this for a long time. It doesn't matter if you grew up with the original version - if you love video games you need to play this game !
